Your policy document is processed for analysis and deleted immediately afterwards. We do not store, sell, or share your insurance documents with any third party.
1. Information We Collect
When you use PolicyDr, we collect:
- Email address — to send you your analysis report
- Policy PDF — uploaded by you for analysis; deleted after processing
- Payment information — processed by Razorpay; we do not store card details
- Usage data — anonymous analytics (page views, session duration) to improve the service
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process your policy document and generate your gap analysis report
- To email you your report and order confirmation
- To process your payment via Razorpay
- To respond to support queries sent to ac@policydr.com
- To improve the accuracy of our analysis engine
3. Document Handling
Your uploaded policy PDF is transmitted securely to our analysis engine, processed, and permanently deleted. It is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the analysis. No human reads your document. The document is never shared with your insurer, any third-party insurance company, or any broker.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your email address and order reference are stored securely in our database hosted on Hostinger infrastructure in India. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Order records are retained for 12 months for customer support and legal compliance purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Razorpay — payment processing (governed by Razorpay's privacy policy)
- Anthropic Claude API — AI-based document analysis (documents processed under Anthropic's API data handling terms)
- Hostinger — web hosting infrastructure
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request deletion of your email and order data by writing to ac@policydr.com
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Opt out of any future communications (reports are transactional, not marketing)
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary for the service to function (session management, payment flow). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Children's Privacy
PolicyDr is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
